How will the development affect local schools?
New educational facilities will be provided as they are needed. This will include day nurseries, primary schools (incorporating early years) and a secondary school.
Schools will be a key element of the community hubs in the Marston Valley new villages, located at the heart of the villages and well-integrated with the surrounding buildings. They will be accessible by safe walking and cycling routes, by public transport, and near supporting facilities such as parks and playgrounds. Schools will be located to allow good walking and cycle access to the green infrastructure network and the Forest of Marston Vale landscape to encourage its use as an outdoor learning resource. The use of school facilities for community uses will be encouraged.
