Why has this area been chosen for development?
The Marston Vale has been identified by Central Bedfordshire Council as a potential growth area partly due to its excellent strategic and sustainable location.
It sits in the centre of nationally-significant road and rail infrastructure: it is well connected to the M1 and A1 and lies alongside the A421 and Marston Vale rail line; it will benefit from the new East-West Rail services.
It is also at the heart of the Oxford to Cambridge Growth Corridor, an area that is recognised both nationally and internationally for its economic potential.
