The outline planning application for Marston Valley has been submitted to Central Bedfordshire Council
In early 2018, we ran a public consultation programme and period of engagement to share with you our vision of what Marston Valley could look like. You gave your views and comments via public exhibitions held across the Marston Vale, and via this website, questionnaires and emails.
These views have informed the outline planning application that was then submitted to Central Bedfordshire Council in May 2018.
The outline planning application establishes the broad site-wide principles and overall quantum of development as well as securing the necessary infrastructure for the scheme. This planning application has been subject to a statutory consultation process undertaken by the Council.
Following the end of that consultation, the Council has been considering all the feedback it has received on Marston Valley, while at the same time progressing its own work on the Central Bedfordshire Local Plan. That work is ongoing.
If we are successful in achieving outline planning permission, further detailed design will be undertaken for each element of the Marston Valley scheme. This is likely to involve the preparation of Strategic Design Guides and Village Pattern Books to ensure that the highest quality of development is brought forward, and then reserved matters applications will be submitted to the Council. Each detailed design stage may be subject to further public consultation.
