The outline planning application for Marston Valley has been submitted to Central Bedfordshire Council
Earlier in the year, we ran a period of engagement to share with you our vision of what Marston Valley could look like. You gave your views and comments via public exhibitions held across the Marston Vale, and via this website, questionnaires and emails.
These views have informed the outline planning application that has now been submitted to Central Bedfordshire Council.
The outline planning application establishes the broad site-wide principles and overall quantum of development as well as securing the necessary infrastructure for the scheme. This planning application is now subject to a statutory consultation process undertaken by the Council. Have your say on the consultation here.
O&H has also produced a draft Development Brief to accompany the application which will be subject to further engagement with the Council. It is important to note that the outline planning application does not set out timescales for work on the site, although the Development Brief does set out the phases in which it could be done.
If we are successful in achieving outline planning permission, further detailed design will be undertaken for each element of the scheme. This is likely to involve the preparation of Design Guides / Codes to ensure that the highest quality of development is brought forward, and then reserved matters applications will be submitted to the Council. Each detailed design stage may be subject to further public consultation.
